Flextension and scrutiny, not what Boris wanted.

Boris Johnson is not a happy fellow.

His Brexit proposal backfired, his attempt to call an early election was rejected, and his tattered deal now faces unwanted scrutiny in the wake of the EU’s agreement to grant the UK a flexible extension - from Thursday until 31 January 2020.

At least two old wounds will now come under intense scrutiny:

  • the Irish ‘soft’ border which threatens to reignite North and South tensions.

  • Scotland’s Independence.

And, it doesn’t appear that Boris Johnson has an answer for either.

Stay tuned.

Mike.
