Of a Modern Debtmetheus

VOL. I.

As I delve into this most curious tale,

Of monsters born from credit's veil,

I see a world where dead parts lay,

In debts that grew by night and day.

The Central Banker played the role,

Of Victor Frankenstein, in control,

He conjured QE’s devilish spark,

To animate the dead and leave his mark.

But of monsters green, they spanned and grew,

Well beyond what the Banker knew,

Debt crept out of icebreaker’s hold,

Forever North did new life unfold.

Then monsters shrank, a rate Elix,

To stop inflation, it had to mix,

Electricity turned off, the monsters fell,

The Banker imagined he'd tamed them well.

But in ancient lab locked in a corner,

Lost in debt and monsters, no mourner,

Surrounded by ice, too afraid to switch,

For fear the monsters would again bewitch.

As I beg your leave to end this tale,

I see some spectres set to fail,

Inflationary tomb, dead parts lie in wait,

For the Banker's next move, sealing their fate.
